SURFACE PREPARATION

Blasting, washing and grinding

The laser is what sets us apart, but it isn’t the only tool. Some surfaces need a blast profile, some need a grinder, and some just need a lot of water. Having all of it under one roof means the surface decides the method.

Abrasive blasting

Best for

Heavy scale, thick or multi-layer coatings, and any specification that calls for a measured surface profile on robust steel or concrete.

Not for

Thin sheet, alloy panels, heritage stone and detail work. Anything that warps, pits or scars goes to the laser.

What you get

A clean, profiled surface to the spec your coating needs, with the media contained and removed.

Pressure washing

Best for

Large areas of dirt, mould, algae and loose material on masonry, concrete, cladding and pavements.

Not for

Bonded coatings, rust, or anywhere water getting in is a problem.

What you get

A surface clean enough to inspect, coat or hand back, at the fastest rate per square metre of any method here.

Concrete grinding

Best for

Floors, walls and overhead. Levelling, removing failed coatings and adhesives, exposing aggregate, and preparing any concrete surface for the next system.

Not for

Anything that isn’t concrete or masonry.

What you get

A flat, open surface with the profile the next coating or overlay specifies, and the dust captured at the machine.

Most jobs are mixed

A heritage facade with a cast iron balustrade and a rendered wall. A workshop with a coated floor and a rusted mezzanine. We quote the whole thing, method by method, and write down why each choice was made so a consultant or a body corporate can follow it.
